Services AutoTuner
The "Services AutoTuner is the most powerful tool available today. By clicking any of the presets which are labeled: Safe, Power User, Bare Bones, and Default, you will be able to apply "Black Viper's" settings for Windows XP's services with the push of a button. This can and will increase the performance of your computer more than any other setting in XP Smoker.

The Elder Geek on Windows XP

Note:  Some services may not start when you select "Start Selected Services".  Some will start on reboot.  Others may not start at all due to your configuration.  As a precaution I suggest that after you reboot. you open XP Smoker after starting any services from within XP Smoker.  Query stopped services and check all of them and "Stop and Disable" them.  This is not a misprint I did say stop stopped services.  The reason is this:  If the service didn't start after a reboot then you don't need it.  It will keep trying to start slowing down the boot process and everything else until it gives up.  By doing what I said you will ensure that all stopped services are disabled and have a faster booting system.
