Optimize menu reaction speed
Use this setting to optimize the reaction time of the Start menu when your mouse hovers over an item.

Optimize icon cache
In certain cases a (too) small cache size leads to an incorrect display of some icons. This setting sets the icon cache size to it's maximum.

Enable Clear Type
In Windows XP, you can also enable Clear Type, a "new" Font Smoothing method that works even better than the "normal" Font Smoothing. It really smooths out the fonts.  They don't look so jagged.

Optimize mouse port refresh rate

Sometimes the mouse cursor in Windows XP flickers because the refresh rate of the mouse port is to slow. XP Smoker sets this rate higher to make your mouse movement smoother.  Use this setting only for a PS/2 mouse.

What is a PS/2 Mouse? Here is a picture of a PS/2 mouse connector, if yours doesn't look like this, don't use this tweak:

Notice the round connector at the end of the wire. That is a PS/2 connector. The mouse could be an optical mouse or an old fashioned wheel mouse (the kind with a rubber ball inside), as long as it has the connector above.

Use Max Critical Worker Threads and Use Max Delayed Worker Threads
If you have enough RAM, (512MB or more) you should try enabling this feature and see if your computer works faster. You can always change it later. "
An XP system has three types of worker threads, each aimed at different priorities of work: delayed worker threads perform low-priority tasks; critical worker threads perform jobs that must be completed as soon as possible and run at a realtime priority; and one hypercritical worker thread exists only for specific, system-related operations such as exited-process cleanup.
Ideally, the number of worker threads needs to be high enough that they pick up work tasks as soon as the tasks are assigned. The tradeoff is that idle worker threads needlessly use system resources.

 Disable Windows Messenger
You can select this option instead of removing Windows Messenger.  This option will prevent Windows Messenger from running.

Disable Recycle Bin
Does they recycle bin get on your nerves?  Are you tired of hitting the shift key to delete a file?  Select this option and the recycling bin is automatically bypassed and files are deleted directly

Remove Arrows From Shortcuts
